Timberland Regional Library Rides
For nearly twenty years I've worked for the Timberland Regional Library system and think we have some of the most fantastic libraries in the country. In the interest of riding regionally, a few years ago I set myself the goal to ride to each one of the libraries. When I lived in Lacey I managed to get to most of the Thurston county buildings, and moving to Rainier I finished riding to each Thurston County location. But since then I haven't ridden to any of the libraries! Now that I'm actually starting to put on some miles I'm going to reboot this goal of riding to each library. I'll keep a list on this page, a sort of table of contents showing which libraries I've visited and linking to the posts. I'm also going to link on the map page back to the blog. Since I've got a new bike it makes sense to restart this, and that way the trips also have a consistent start point. In some cases distances are Google's suggested routes, not necessarily the route I'd take, in others I've modified the route to favor certain streets or trails. To get to some libraries I'd have to pass others, so some rides will include more than one library.Thurston County
